Canada: A citizen movement in favor of fine crafts

Launched in Canada in 2014, the Citizens of Crafts movement aims to "bring together creators, crafts enthusiasts, consumers and admirers"

A movement bringing together creators, lovers of crafts, consumers, admirers... in short, all people who share the values attached to heritage, innovation, authenticity and the spirit of enterprise, knowing how to marry before - custody and tradition.

A movement that results from the pressing need to unify our voices, leaving aside the divergent definitions of fine crafts and instead celebrating its diversity: in all that it really is, what it can represent and what it brings to people who identify with it – through creation or appreciation of things. A movement allowing professional craftsmen to send a message: “This is what I do and what I am – come and share my passion”. A movement allowing people to affirm their values: “This is what I love, what is close to my heart and what I am. »
