Château-d’Œx - The ancestral art of cutting is revealed

24 hours, Flavienne Wahli Di Matteo, July 12, 2018

While waiting for the extension of the museum, the paper-cut days maintain the fascination for this craft. Both heritage and living heritage, the craft of paper cutting is preserved with devotion on the Vaud banks of the Sarine. While the extension of the Musée du Pays-d’Enhaut could give shape within a few years to the first Swiss center for cut paper, the guardians of this know-how are keeping the flame alive by organizing paper cut days this weekend. .

A lively and multifaceted craft

It is in the passage under the tracks of the Château-d’Oex station that cutting craftsmen from many places will exhibit their work, handle chisels and converse with the public, Saturday and Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
