Christian Laufer, skeleton craftsman in La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE) presents his profession from his workshop

“What I particularly like about the skeleton watch is that it creates a bridge between technique and aesthetics.”

Christian Laufer discovers the skeleton clocks by chance in a shop window during his training as a watchmaker. He crossed paths again with these pieces that fascinated him at Audemars-Piguet, where he worked for two years before returning to La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1991. He then founded the Arrigoni-Laufer workshop with Maurice Arrigoni and specialized in manufacture of skeleton watches.
