French-speaking Switzerland - The Arts and Crafts Days draw the crowd

The European Days of Crafts (JEMA) in the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Jura, Valais and Ticino attracted nearly 15,000 visitors.

Some 200 places allowed the public to interact with 350 craftsmen and apprentices. The event, in view of its success, is asserting itself as the unmissable event for Swiss know-how, rejoiced the administrative councilor of the City of Geneva Sami Kanaan, president of the Swiss Association of Craftsmen. ’art.

The days were placed this year under the sign of transmission. This edition wanted to create clicks and arouse vocations towards professions which knew how to reinvent themselves by perpetuating themselves. The public was able to discover professional activities between traditional know-how and new technologies. (ats/nxp)
