Each year, Chopard creates a timepiece dedicated to the peony, the favorite flower of Caroline Scheufele, co-president of Chopard. The opportunity for the manufacture to highlight all the crafts that are mastered in its workshops.

On the dial side of the 2019 edition, the bouquet of peonies stands out against the purple dial in shades of pink, ranging from the palest to the darkest, growing to purple, contrasting with the soft green of the leaves. And as shadow, light! In fact, in order to convey the depth of the petals, Chopard’s “Art hands” did not shade the flowers but highlighted the details with skilfully hand-cut white mother-of-pearl appliques. An 18 carat pink gold butterfly cannot resist the call and is about to land on the heart of a flower.
