Morges: with nimble fingers, she bottles the biggest boats

Living a few kilometers from Lavaux, Gabrielle Rogers has the art of bottling, not Chasselas, but… boats!

This Saturday was held the European Days of Arts and Crafts. In Morges, Gabrielle Rogers presented her know-how, while revealing her tips for making meticulous reproductions of boats in glass bottles.

Originally from Virginia, on the east coast of the United States, the craftswoman has been making replicas of all kinds of boats for a dozen years, from vintage sailboats to large yachts. During the European Days of Crafts, the designer presented her works all weekend at the Château de Morges.

The perfect opportunity for the general public to discover by what stratagem a three-masted ship is made to fit into such a small neck.
