Salon Résonance[s], European crafts fair, Parc Expo Wacken, Strasbourg
The vocation of the resonance[s] fair is to display the contemporary face of fine crafts through an exceptional selection of objects with modern lines, made in unique pieces or in limited series. Coming from all over France but also from several European countries, professionals in the arts and crafts unveil their most recent and daring creations to the public, which make resonance[s] the ideal place to unearth unique pieces of furniture, decoration , jewelry, fashion, sculptures, lighting or even tableware.
Mirror of contemporary creation, Résonance[s] strives, at each edition, to surprise its public by revealing ever more original works, reflections of the diversity, vitality and richness of craftsmanship. .
Organized for the 5th consecutive year by the Regional Federation of Crafts of Alsace (frémaa), Résonance[s] is now an essential annual event for all lovers of sensitive objects and prescribers in search of affordable creations or exceptional pieces.
A symbol of excellence, refinement and creativity in craftsmanship in Europe today, Résonance[s] offers an aesthetic, sensory and poetic experience. On more than 6000 m2, more than 180 material artists from all over Europe (Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Finland, the Netherlands, etc.) unveil their latest creations in unique pieces or limited series and make Résonances the ideal place to discover and acquire new and unique works in furniture, decoration, jewelry, fashion, sculpture, lighting, graphic arts or tableware.
Two exceptional professionals – both Masters of Art – are the guests of honor at Résonance[s]: Pierre Gaucher, contemporary artist, sculptor and ironworker, and Roland Daraspe, contemporary goldsmith. Two styles and two personalities for a common exhibition, a dialogue around the work of metal and its infinite possibilities.
The 2016 Carte Blanche was awarded to the basket weaver Émilie Rouillon, national winner of the 2015 Ateliers d’Art de France competition who, with surprising creations inspired by the marine world, offers a renewed vision of basket weaving.
Résonance[s] will also welcome four winners of the 2015 Prize for Young Creation of Crafts from the Ateliers d’Art de France: Julie Auzillon, bookbinder, Sébastien Carré, jewelry designer, Kaori Kurihara, ceramist, Xavier Noël, gilder.
Finally, note the presence of the Dare d’Art collective, a major player in contemporary creation in the field of glass, which will bring together fourteen renowned glassmakers at Résonance[s] and will unveil glass in all its forms.
