Philippe Dufour is considered by lovers of fine watchmaking as probably the most talented creator of the moment. However, it is almost unknown to the general public. Born in the 1950s in the Vallée de Joux, Philippe Dufour chose to become independent in 1989 and create his own watch models. Since then, he has created three calibers. His secret: patience, uncompromising rigor and a good dose of humility. His regret: not having succeeded in forming a team around him. It is therefore alone, in an old class of the Solliat primary school, a stone’s throw from the Sentier, that he works tirelessly, bringing old machines back to life with gestures from the past.
