This prize rewards a craftswoman who excels in the conservation of movable and built heritage.
In the skilled hands of Emmanuelle Zem Rohner, painting becomes polymorphous: it takes on the appearance of wood, marble, moldings and tapestries just as easily thanks to skilful brushstrokes. When reproducing a setting, the artist studies his subjects in depth, mixes the pigments to find the appropriate shade and thus recreates the desired illusion. This precious know-how, it puts it in particular at the service of heritage, as evidenced by its delicate work carried out with care at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. The monumental staircases of this institution have indeed regained their former elegance in the form of a tapestry scrupulously reproduced by our master of artifice.
