Vaud - European Days of Crafts Vaud 2020

Information letter from the Cultural Affairs Department, December 16, 2020

The Cultural Affairs Department takes over the management of the organization of the European Days of Crafts (JEMA) Vaud and collaborates in the organization of the event with the Swiss Association of Crafts. A new programming committee has been set up. To think about the programming, the SERAC has set up a new committee of 8 people, which brings together 3 artisans representing 3 different trades and 3 regions of the canton, as well as representatives of 4 State services concerned with artisanal work: the vocational training (DGEP), the economy department (SPEI), the immovable heritage department (DGIP – Monuments and sites section) and the cultural affairs department (SERAC) for matters relating to intangible heritage. The purpose of this new committee is to promote the circulation of information and unite everyone’s strengths with a view to joint action to promote the exceptional knowledge and know-how of craftsmen active in the canton of Vaud. .

The 2020 edition promises to be as rich and varied as the previous ones, with once again around 50% new artisans and once again a cultural mediation offer for Vaudois classes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The next edition of JEMA will take place on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April 2020. The program will be available in March 2020.
