The element that dresses the roofs and hugs its curves is part of the Swiss built heritage. An ancestral technique based on an oral tradition. This technique for covering roofs and facades is visible in all our cantons. The tavillons, these thousands of superimposed wooden planks, dress the farms and alpine chalets, the facades of buildings in town, the bell towers of village chapels, but also monuments. They are the expression of a know-how transmitted from generation to generation to protect against cold and rain.
