The showcase of stained glass art

In order to highlight the research work on the Swiss glass heritage of the employees of the Vitrocentre and the Vitromusée Romont, a project to put the censuses resulting from these studies online was initiated in 2013. The “vitrosearch” database , which was launched in December 2017, is offered both to professionals for study purposes and to the general public. This platform is a showcase for the activities of the two institutions, but above all an enhancement of the art of stained glass, painting under glass and glass arts in Switzerland. It also allows you to discover the fascinating collections of artists and workshops kept in Romont. The database will be constantly updated and supplemented with new works and objects testifying to the creative work related to glass, such as tools.
