"The Swiss of Paris, graphic design and typography", until March 19, 2017
The Museum of Applied Arts in Zurich pays tribute to the Swiss typographers who left to practice in Paris in the 1950s, where they enjoyed success. Their Helvetica, Univers and even Frutiger fonts have gone around the world.
The 1960s were the golden age of Swiss typographers. Their fonts have been adopted by the biggest companies. Parisians in particular are familiar with these fonts, used as signage in the metro or at Orly and Roissy airports.
