Zurich - Introductory lecture "Stone carving, slinging and raft wedges - an entertainment with monuments"

Prof. Dr. In his introductory lecture, Stefan Holzer will explain why the D-ARCH and the ETH need “Building Research, Construction History and Monument Preservation” as a discipline and professorship. The lecture will show how building research makes the stones talk, how it helps to break down the history of building, usage, damage and repairs, how it can provide valuable contributions to renovation and upgrading and how it can tell exciting stories.
