« I have always loved the traditions of the Pays-d’Enhaut. A few years ago, I discovered Doris Henchoz’s magnificent cutouts and decided to give it a try. »

Born in Lausanne, Corinne Karnstädt-Brulhart moved to the Pays d’Enhaut with her husband and two children in 1998. A handyman at heart, she took up painting and ended up buying, on a whim, the materials needed for cutting. It’s love at first sight and, over the years, she has developed a style of her own that incorporates touches of modernity to traditional poyas.

« Some cutouts require four hours of work and others three weeks. It’s terrible because I can’t wait to see the result. »

Equipped with her pencil, her thin paper, white on the front, black on the back, a cutter and a mat, Corinne Karnstädt-Brulhart mainly makes cut-outs for individuals. In addition, she participates in group exhibitions and has been selected several times for the national exhibition organized by the Swiss Association of Cut Paper .
