Sébastien Godard et Camille Fumat
Boat builders
Allaman

« We work towards a contemplative nautical approach, aware of its history and its impact. »

About

Sébastien Godard and Camille Fumat are both passionate about wooden boats. After being trained by Jean-Philippe Mayerat, known as Mayu, they decided to take over their former master's shipyard in spring 2022. Keen to perpetuate their expertise, they train apprentices and encourage owners who wish to participate in the renovation of their boat.

At the Mestre shipyard, Sébastien Godard and Camille Fumat use planes, sanders, saws, and other wood chisels to build, repair, and maintain classic wooden craft: sailboats, sail-rowing boats, rowboats, and motorboats. To achieve this, they prioritize respect for original technical processes, reversibility, and local resources, and adapt their practices to reduce their impact on the environment.
