Lapidary

Ruby, emerald, sapphire, topaz... the lapidary is the specialist in cutting precious stones and fine stones. From the raw stone to final use, he shapes the facets on the grindstone that reveal the color and transparency of the stones for the jeweler's jewelry.

Become lapidary

There is no specific training for the lapidary profession. Full-time training , requiring employment in the field of polishing, allows you to become more specific. A transfer of knowledge could be possible.

Initial training as agemologist or in polishing - watchmaking could be a good start.
