Perfumer

The perfumer, sometimes called a "nose", searches for, mixes and creates ingredients from natural or artificial products that give a desired scent to perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, detergents, etc.

The flavorist uses spices, essences or synthetic products to create flavorings that improve the taste, flavor and smell of certain food or pharmaceutical products (yogurts, biscuits, pre-cooked meals, syrups, medications, etc.).
