About
Elisabeth Bassin was born in Geneva in 1959. Trained to teach bobbin lacemaking in Yverdon in 1998, she still continues to take advanced courses today. In 2001, she joined the Jura Association of Lacemakers, which has around sixty members, and joined its committee. She finds it a source of motivation and a way to enrich her knowledge.
Elisabeth Bassin organizes meetings, trips, visits and exhibitions during which lace is combined in its most diverse forms: decorative objects, scarves, tablecloths, handkerchiefs, fans or even paintings. In 2018 and 2020, the Association jurassienne des lacemakers is the guest of the Horlogère Foundation of Porrentruy.
