Even as a child, Beat Schild spent every free minute with a farmer who also made wooden objects on the side. After an apprenticeship as a wood carver, Schild worked as a painter before, after the birth of his first child, learning stone carving and goldsmithing from various artisans. In 2008, Beat Schild founded his own studio in Brienz.

When you enter Beat Schild's workshop, you find yourself in the middle of countless machines and several workstations. A single activity is carried out in each location, and this with the greatest finesse and precision.

In 2010, the goldsmith from Brienz patented his process for permanently bonding gold and stone. This allows customers to bring their own stones, which Beat Schild uses to create wedding rings that have a very personal story. Since Schild has always been concerned about fair trade in gold and precious stones, it has been a partner of Ökogold since 2014 and verifiably only purchases environmentally friendly gold.
