Olivier Boehm
Cabinetmaker
Lausanne

« Restoration work, when done well, goes unnoticed. A successful intervention goes unnoticed. »

About

In 1997, Olivier Boehm began his apprenticeship with Maurice Jaques, cabinetmaker and dean of the pre-apprenticeship section of the Vevey Vocational Education Center. Together, they create period furniture and work on prestigious restoration sites such as that of the La Suisse boat belonging to the Compagnie Générale de Navigation.

« It was the master cabinetmaker Maurice Jacques who gave me the passion for this profession and passed on his know-how to me. »

In his large, bright workshop in the heart of Lausanne, Olivier Boehm restores antique furniture, produces his own creations and carries out special orders for major watch brands. Among the many tools hanging on the walls, we discover exact replicas of period furniture such as a Louis XV table.
