« Every plant has a story to tell. My job is to give it a second life, frozen in the eternity of the oshibana. »

Always fascinated by the plant world, Anik Boven discovered oshibana, a traditional Japanese art that consists of pressing flowers and plants to then use them as a color palette. Since then, she has been inspired by nature, its richness, its colors and its textures to create unique paintings and creations in pressed plants.

« Nature is an infinite palette of colors and shapes. By preserving its treasures, I try to capture a moment of its beauty. »

For her creations, Anik Boven carefully selects all the plant elements which will then be pressed to preserve their colours and shapes. They are then arranged in such a way as to create harmonious and poetic compositions.
