Jewelers cutlers
Vollèges

« By the anvil and the hammer, born of fire and water. »

About

Born in 1957, Yves Moulin acquired laboratory training. Always interested in mechanics and metallurgy, he started a forge business in 2010, specializing in the manufacture of laminated stainless steels also called damask. From the beginning, in addition to cutlery uses, he used these damasks for the production of jewelry. Since 2017 he has been producing jewelery metal laminates, also known as Mokume Gane. Lucie, for her part, brings new ideas and artistic advice.

« All that is gold does not shine. »

The workshop is made up of three areas: first of all the black part, the forge made up of large machines: furnace, anvils, torch and hydraulic press. This is where the damask is made and then shaped. Then the mechanical workshop where the parts coming from the forge are reworked and undergo heat treatments. Finally the finishing workshop where the pieces are polished and the design of the damask revealed.
