After obtaining his CFC, Jean-Michel Buxcel joined the family business as a worker. Independent since 1986, he specializes in the repair of wallets and luggage as well as in the creation of tailor-made pieces for institutions or individuals. Anxious to pass on his know-how, he gives courses for leather enthusiasts.

In 1999, Jean-Michel Buxcel took over the Maupas leather goods factory – which includes a repair workshop and a leather goods store – which his father had founded in 1965. In 2014, he moved to new premises and redirected his professional activity towards the transmission of his knowledge and the repair of baggage for aviation companies.
