About
A seamstress grandmother specializing in haute couture and a father in charge of a fashion boutique: sewing is a family affair for Karine Dubois. Since the end of her training, she has worked for various institutions such as the Arsenic theater or the Kleber-Méleau theater. In 2019, she made the marmoset costumes for the winegrowers’ festival.
In her workshop located in the heart of the old town of Lausanne, Karine Dubois manipulates meters of fabric, patterns, threads and other sewing machines to make her costumes. She must also call on her creativity sometimes to age, sometimes to rejuvenate the actors and to respond to the desires of the directors. She also gives sewing lessons.
