Venetian by origin and born in 1945, Luigi Carniel came to Switzerland at the age of 12. His CFC as a precision mechanic in his pocket and then a graduate of the evening technicum, this young engineer then devoted himself to martial arts. A professional in this field, he travels to Japan every year to train and acquire the skills needed to create swords.
Luigi Carniel took over the Corcelles forge 15 years ago. Two rings for attaching horses are still present on the front. It’s a trip back in time as soon as you push the door of the forge. Built in 1747, the ageless machines and pincers hung on the wall testify to this fascinating universe.
