About
Born in Lausanne in 1980, Tamara Cerny developed a passion for everything related to art very early on. At 16, she discovered art foundry in a workshop in Saint-Cierges. She then began an apprenticeship as an art founder at the Geya foundry in Ogens. She then perfected her training with the artisan founder Monnier in Moutier, realizing, among other things, an order for 300 multiples in bronze.
In 2010, she set up her studio in Bercher where she continues to practice molding and explores various reproduction materials. But he misses the bronze, the culmination of the trade and the glowing metal. She then builds her tools and her melting furnace. In 2013, the molding workshop became an art foundry and welcomed artists with works to reproduce. In parallel, she also develops her own work as a sculptor.
Tamara Cerny teaches molding at the EDA art school where her studio is located, which aims to be a place of transmission and experimentation. She also offers courses in traditional African cast iron called "Banko".
