« My technical training gave me the basics of know-how, but it was my passion for transforming materials that led me to ironwork. »

After his CFC in metal construction, Vincent Desmeules turned to ironwork and artisanal metallurgy by training in Friborg and France. In 2004, Vincent Desmeules took over the forge in the village of Ropraz where he likes to maintain the tradition of working steel as well as making the hearth of the forge crackle and resonate with the sound of the anvil 100 years older than him.

By experimenting on the reduction of iron ore collected in the region or by offering beeswax treatments for his apiary, Vincent Desmeules invests in craftsmanship related to his immediate environment.
