After professional training in the workshop of a well-known Ligurian ceramic sculptor, in 1982 the two spouses Raffaella and Gian Luigi Costa opened their atelier in Gandria. He working on the lathe and she taking care of the decoration, they have been able to renew themselves, always keeping intact the passion for the object shaped entirely by hand. Ranging from majolica to stoneware and lately also porcelain and using different techniques in addition to the lathe such as casting, the mold and the third fire, they transform tradition into modernity.
