About
Le Cadratin was founded in 1988 by Jean-Renaud Dagon, who rescued the very old technique of typography from oblivion. Thanks to the acquisition of machines intended for destruction, the Cadratin saves, makes known and sees this profession survive. To date, more than 100 works, mostly composed by hand, have come out of its presses. Le Cadratin has been a foundation since 2014.
Trained as a typographer printer at the Romande School of Typography in the 1970s, Jean-Renaud Dagon created an Offset printing company in 1980 but to live his passion he founded the typographic workshop Le Cadratin, in which he now collaborates with many other volunteers, all passionate about typography like Hugues Eynard, Joanne Bantick and Laurence Pernet.
The Le Cadratin Foundation is supported by the Association des Vrais Amis du Cadratin, which has more than 700 members. e-mail: [email protected]
