Line Duboux
Carpet restorer
Le Mont-sur-Lausanne

« By restoring the rugs, we give them a new life, the opportunity to survive the test of time and to keep us linked to other cultures, other eras. »

About

After a rug repair course, Line Duboux began her apprenticeship as an artistic stopper at König Tapis in 1981 and obtained her CFC in 1984. Over time, she had the opportunity to restore rugs and weavings of all ages and to all origins, thus acquiring experience. In 2017, she took over the destiny of the workshop on her own.

« Entering the shade, choosing the wool, taking stock to repair the wounds of time and rediscover the brilliance and nobility of a rug, what a pleasure! »

Soon to be a hundred years old, the workshop perpetuates an ancestral know-how. A stock of wools from various origins and periods makes it possible to restore practically all weavings.
