About
After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in Grens, Philippe Emery left for France to join the Compagnons du Devoir with whom he perfected his know-how for seven years. He then worked in Paris before returning to Switzerland and creating Sedarca there in 1991, a company specializing in the manufacture of solid wood furniture and the restoration of antique furniture.
From the selection of hundred-year-old trunks to drying, including felling, sawing and transport, Philippe Emery masters the entire timber industry. To design his furniture, he travels around Switzerland in search of the finest woods with which he notably built the furniture for the conference rooms of the WTO and the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva, as well as the furniture for the boat Le Neuchâtel.
