« The upholsterer is sometimes the intermediary between the generations, he makes it possible to preserve the furniture while bringing it to the taste of the heirs. »

After a four-year apprenticeship with René Périllard, decorator, Christian Gilliéron worked for five years in a renowned workshop specializing in upholstering and covering furniture. In 1987, he set up on his own. Anxious to perpetuate this profession which he finds magnificent, he trains apprentices and transmits to them his passion for his work.

« He stuffs, he cards, he stiffens, he stretches, he nails. He uses burlap, dimples, seeds, springs, string, animal and vegetable hair. »

Christian Gilliéron, offers fabrics in cotton, linen, silk, tapestry, damask, lampas, velvet and a large assortment of trimmings. The choice and installation of fabrics and curtains for interior decoration require a search for harmony to bring the place to life. The upholsterer’s work restores shape to objects and highlights them in a new environment.
