Mireille Finger
Feltmaker and lacemaker
Courtételle

« Giving my mark to textiles is to exalt all the richness of the materials that I transform. »

About

Mireille Finger began by attending a felt workshop in Moudon before participating in training seminars in Lyssach and Ballenberg. She takes part in international exhibitions and has won prizes in Switzerland. This encourages him to perfect himself and to take on new challenges such as the construction of woolen houses in the extraordinary gardens of Pro Evologia in Cernier.

« The metamorphosis that takes place between the material I model and the objects I make is always a source of wonder for me. »

A garden bordering the river leads you to Mireille Finger’s studio. Behind the entrance door, an imposing worktop flanked by shelves where the wool of sheep, camelids or goats show off their silky finery. It is here that she finds her inspiration and creates dresses, coats, hats, bags and games. She is also a member of the Laines d’ici association.
