About
Gaëlle Garrocq was born and raised in the French Pyrenees before swapping the ocean for Lake Geneva. Today based between Lausanne and Vevey, she practices engraving, mainly linocut, illustration and tattooing. Her drawings are mainly inspired by the fauna and flora that she likes to explore, such as bats, fish and other delicate flowers.
Using gouges, Gaëlle Garrocq engraves her drawings on linoleum boards, a wooden powder matrix waterproofed with linseed oil. The pattern thus created is printed in black ink, sometimes accompanied by a touch of bright color, on fabric or on paper. She organizes introductory engraving workshops and realizes your desires to order. Since 2020, she tattoos her drawings.
