About
After completing an apprenticeship and practicing masonry for 8 years, Jean-Félix Houriet began an apprenticeship as a saddler. In 1985 he took over his uncle’s workshop-store (a business founded in 1940). From 1990, he developed the trade in horse-riding articles and the repair of leather objects. He passes on his knowledge and is currently training an apprentice in the field of leather and textiles.
The Houriet horse-riding workshop-store specializes in saddlery, the manufacture of personalized bell straps, horse-riding articles and other leather objects, regularly presented at horse shows and fairs in the region.
A training company, Mélanie Zimmermann is doing her 2nd year there as a CFC leather and textile craftswoman.
