About
Frank Johner is a blacksmith-taillandier, specialist in old weapons. Always fascinated by fire and iron, he trained as a locksmith-builder and blacksmith-marshal. The symbolism of the blacksmith and the dimensions linked to energy and matter, particularly from the point of view of recovery and ethics, are of particular interest to him.
Frank Johner’s workshop is renowned for edge-working, the manufacture of cutting tools used to carve or cut. In his dark and burning lair, he fashions his creations like the master blacksmiths of old using fire, a quenching tank and the strength of his arms. Inspired by medieval weapons, he likes to reproduce historical pieces, such as ancient swords, axes or shields.
