After an apprenticeship as a house painter in southern Germany, Stéphanie Joris obtained her federal master's degree in painting and her colorist's certificate in Stuttgart. After working in Germany as a master painter and colorist, she founded NUANCE – Couleur & Habitat in Sion in 2003 with her husband Alain, a company dedicated to decorative wall coverings.

At Nuance, which now has around ten qualified painters, Stéphanie Joris offers solutions based on the volumes, brightness and tastes of her clients. With her team, she masters a wide range of techniques, ranging from wallpapering to applying lime and marble powder plaster to installing decorative mouldings or gold leaf.
