Janine Renevey Chavy
Designer seamstress
Troistorrents

« Sensitive to the passage of time, I like to pass on my know-how and share my passion. »

About

Born in 1957, Janine Renevey Chavy dreams of fashion. After the sewing school in Lausanne, she attended the Kunstgewerbeschule Mode in Zurich and then worked as a stylist in various Swiss firms. In 1987, she opened L’Atelier Des Modes in Monthey, a tailor-made fabric and pattern shop with a sewing workshop. From 1991, she organized sewing lessons and devoted herself to her family.

« Sewing and fabrics are my working tools, those that allow me to create and concretize a model in my image: unique, original, comfortable and well finished. »

Janine Renevey Chavy has also been offering, since 2007, themed courses (styling and craftsmanship: over the seasons) and à la carte in a workshop specially organized for sewing. Sensitive to waste and overconsumption, she likes to divert recycled clothing and fabrics to make bags, pouches and other decorative objects that she presents in her shop space.
