Coraline Sandoz was introduced to weaving at the Heimatwerkschule de Richterswil in Zurich, due to the lack of an apprenticeship in French at the time. Since 1969, she has been weaving unique accessories and clothing, favoring natural materials such as silk, wool or cotton. She is president of the Laines d’ici association, which works to transform and promote local wool.

In the middle of Coraline Sandoz’s workshop stands one of her traditional wooden looms, in which colored threads are carefully intertwined in a subtle harmony. Here, she presents her own creations, responds to the wishes of her customers and gives weaving lessons. It thus participates in the safeguarding and transmission of this ancestral know-how.
