Thiemo Schutter and Rahel Widmer have been running the violin making workshop "Schutter Widmer Krieger" in the Beaumont district of Bern since 2019. They completed their (second) training together at the violin making school in Brienz - Rahel after an apprenticeship as a carpenter, Thiemo after studying cello. The team combines the necessary skills such as craftsmanship at the highest level and professional musical training.

The core of their daily work is the making of new instruments. Several violins, violas and cellos are created each year, always in close collaboration. In addition, maintenance work such as re-meshing bows, repairs and sound adjustment fill their days.
