About
It was in 1979 that Alain Vaucher, a graduate of the Ecole des Métiers de Lausanne, opened his workshop, which he named Artemos. Over time, he perfected his art to become a master cabinetmaker and then an expert in carpentry for historical monuments, combining various techniques such as woodwork, sculpture, marquetry, old assembly and finishing techniques.
In 1983, he made his first intervention on the chair of the prior of the church of Grandson. He then went on to various mandates and historical projects, including, in particular, the Lausanne Cathedral, the Priory Church of Pully, the Lausanne Town Hall and the Château de Grandson.
Alain Vaucher places his activity on the edge of creation, restoration and expertise. He was a trainer for twenty years.
Versatile and eager for new challenges, he is also interested in creating unique furniture. Originality, Alain Vaucher does not lack it, as his creations seem unclassifiable. But he also knows how to put himself at the service of his customers by giving life to their needs or simply their desires.
