About
An internship with a marble worker is enough for André Vuille to find his way. After learning the trade in Solothurn, due to a lack of space in French-speaking Switzerland, he followed a training course for vocational education in the stone trades. For five years, he participated in the construction of the Tour de Moron in the Bernese Jura by training nearly 600 apprentices from all over Switzerland.
Since 1994, André Vuille has been shaping stone in the inexhaustible variety of its uses: mausoleums, fountains, paving, kitchen worktops, dry stone walls, window sills, monuments and various sculptures. He notably collaborated on the renovation of the Maison des peaons in Geneva, as well as those of the Saint-Jean bridge and the Saint-Ursanne fountains.
