Press release: departure of Mr. Thierry Hogan

Thierry Hogan, General Secretary of Métiers d’art Suisse since July 2018, has informed us of his desire to leave his post at the end of 2020.

Thanks to him, our association has experienced remarkable development in a few years since several cantons have joined the founding members. In addition to the intercantonal coordination of the European Days of Crafts, Mr. Thierry Hogan has worked to set up the Swiss Crafts Awards: since 2018, various Swiss craftsmen have thus seen their know- make unique rewarded.

In 2020, still under the impetus of Mr. Thierry Hogan, the Arcades Métiers d’art Suisse was created opposite the brand new Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts in Lausanne. In this space, a real showcase of crafts in Switzerland, craftsmen were able to come and present their craft to the public and exhibit their creations.

We take this opportunity to thank him warmly for all these years of work accomplished with brio and fervor, for his spirit of initiative as well as for his tenacity in defending crafts in Switzerland.

We wish him all the best for the future.
