The art of craftsmanship in the spotlight

Dozens of workshops and workplaces will once again open their doors to the public in Bern from 28 to 30 March. They will provide insights into their in-depth craftsmanship and their creative and innovative activities through exhibitions, lectures, workshops or guided tours behind the scenes of theatres and museums.

The ETAKs, which take place every year in spring, have already become a must-see event where visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of high-quality and varied crafts for free.

In Bern, around fifty professional designers from various fields will once again be taking part. In their workshops and boutiques, as well as in the gallery of the Kornhaus and in Atelier 14B of the Haupt bookshop, they are looking forward to personally presenting their specific knowledge and know-how to an interested audience and explaining how their objects are made.

Designers bring their ideas to life from their respective materials, developing their own writings and techniques and using them to manufacture precise, high-quality products, whether as unique pieces or in small series.

Those who dedicate themselves to restoration always strive to find a way to respect the object to be preserved in its original state, so that it remains a cultural asset.

ETAK guarantees a long weekend full of discoveries, encounters and inspiration!
