Wood carver


The wood carver carves wood to create patterns or shapes. He shapes parts of furniture or cabinets, frames, woodwork, interior decorations, statues and artistic ornaments (mirrors, door handles, family crests, church figurines, etc.). He can reproduce, restore or create a model as well as be required to integrate materials other than wood into his works.

Becoming a wood sculptor

Training is acquired through a full-time apprenticeship in a company or school with the award of a CFC. Duration 4 years. Further training is possible.
