About
Born in 1966 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Nathalie Delhaye was introduced to modeling and the use of many tools by her father. In 2000, she left her job as a nurse to live her dream: to be a stone sculptor. In this masculine environment, she made a name for herself thanks to her sensitivity, her lightness and her gentleness, as evidenced by the various prizes she has won.
In her studio located in the heart of the Lessus quarries, Nathalie Delhaye practices a difficult and physically exhausting art. She works marble, granite, alabaster and steatite and transforms these raw materials into audacious and delicate shapes that call for the caress. Since 2006, she has fueled her work on stone with research on light and its spatiality. In 2008, Nathalie Delhaye represented French-speaking Switzerland at the 40th Swiss national outdoor sculpture exhibition, Vira Gambarogno in Ticino.
