About
Alessandro Longo trained in graphic design while cultivating his curiosity for other forms of creation. In 2011, an internship with Terry Fernandez allowed him to discover intaglio. His meeting with the artist Pietro Sarto in 2015 was crucial: he introduced him to the techniques of engraving before passing on his studio to him. Since then, he has developed his profession and his innumerable interpretations.
In his workshop designed as a place for meetings, listening and exchanges, Alessandro Longo brings his engravings to life, whether utilitarian or artistic, using century-old machines. Committed to promoting his profession, he regularly organizes participatory demonstrations, notably at the Martin Bodmer foundation, at the Geneva book fair or at the Jenisch museum in Vevey.
