From 1980 to 1988, Raynald Métraux practiced lithography in the Prolitho and Grapholith workshops. He attended the Tamarind Institute Albuquerque, USA then the Atelier Franck Bordas in Paris. In 1991, he created his own workshop where he practices lithography, lithography, linocut, typography, woodcut and monotype. Since 2008, he has been teaching at the Haute Ecole d’art et de Design in Geneva.

Raynald Métraux shares his activity between commissioning works for artists or publishers, his own editions, the sale of prints and the organization of exhibitions. The prints published by the workshop are part of many collections and have been the subject of various exhibitions: Jenisch Vevey Museum (2003), Swiss Cultural Center Paris (2012), Contemporary Art Center Yverdon (2014).
