About
In the 1960s, Michel Mottier began carving wooden cream spoons in his free time to occupy his mind. At almost eighty years old, this self-taught and discreet sculptor continues to create his favorite objects, which he sells mainly to farmers in his region and to passing tourists.
Michel Mottier does not have a workshop, he makes his wooden spoons on a corner of the kitchen table. Using a few scalpels, two gouges and a chisel, he transforms carefully selected pieces of raw wood into unique sculptures in natural wood.
